GHOST had the pleasure of joining Hall of Flowers at their inaugural in September 2018 and their most recent show this past April 2019. This year Hall of Flowers (HoF) raised the bar even more for what Cannabis show should be! HoF has their thumb on the pulse of the Californian Cannabis Market and it shoes in their level of curation.
They provide a truly unique business to business show in an industry that is continuously trying to find it’s feet in an ever changing landscape (across all fronts!). The access to the high caliber of individuals at HoF is unmatched. They curated an environment / aesthetic that was welcoming for both newcomers, “big money”, and parts of a community that has been labeled as outlaws for the greater of 20+ years.
HoF organizers built out two licensed dispensaries on the grounds, in conjunction with the California Bureau of Cannabis Control. Anyone working around the Cannabis industry can attest to this being no small feat! They had over 400 top-tier brands showing out (with even more exhibitors wanting in on the action after selling out) in an area that was 4 times as large as their inaugural show six months prior. Widely known CA brands were a plenty: Cookies, Pistil Point, Alien Labs, Connected, Ember Valley, Wonderbrett as well as a lot of other brands launching: Genius THC, Hollyweed & Post Malone’s Shaboink.
A high-end product deserves high-end presentation. We had a 40 ft space filled with a decked out, road-ready trailer, with a private meeting room, two neon lit consumption bars for MV1 demos, and over a dozen badass bean bags that had folks (and dogs, so many happy dogs!) chilling all day. It was the perfect environment to put your feet up during a whirlwind of a show.
A lot of times people would ask “what kind of oil is this?” when they were really trying flower in the MV1Customer’s reaction to the MV1
The cannabis community took to the MV1 very well. So much time, effort, and care is put into flower these days and it was amazing to see how growers and connoisseurs reacted to a device that is able to easily translate that flavor. A lot of times people would ask “what kind of oil is this?” when they were really trying flower in the MV1. Granted, Lost Coast Exotics was providing some super terpy offerings: Cheese Cake, Purple Punch, Tangimal Cookies, Wedding Cake & LA Kush. All of which were showing out themselves with their big frosty nug-selves. Big shout out to Lost Coast Exotics and Humboldt Terp Council for the love!
HoF curated a Southern Style BBQ for all brand participants at the close of the show that was a very nice touch. It was nice to chop it up with all the organizers and brands that put in a ton of work for the show. A private acoustic set by Rome from Sublime was no doubt adding to the vibes, closing out the show proper.
In an industry where electronic devices seem niche, a device like MV1 is helping regenerate the community’s interest for such devices, while also addressing peoples’ love for flower. Whether they smoke joints only, dab only, or are a casual user.
